A new perspective on table design
Bieke Casteleyn is a Flemish interior architect and furniture designer known for the exclusive tables of her Out of Line collection. She approaches the design of an everyday piece of furniture from a new perspective. The underlying idea is to break with existing conventions. Passion for innovation
Casteleyn studied Interior Design at Sint-Lucas School of Arts in Ghent and later specialized in product design in Milan, where her passion for innovation blossomed. This passion led to her creation of the Out of Line tables. In 2016, she founded her studio, Shaping Objects, where she designs and crafts her distinctive tables known for their timeless appeal. Tabletops with free shapes
When creating the Out of Line series, Casteleyn questioned traditional table shapes like round, square, or rectangular. Opting for free-form tabletops, she named both the collection and her studio, Shaping Objects, to reflect this departure from norms. With Out of Line, Bieke Casteleyn presents a unique concept that, with its organic form and groundbreaking design, leaves the existing rules of table design behind.

An Out of Line table is always unique, crafted by hand to ensure each piece is distinct. Beyond their playful shapes, these tables feature exquisite finishes. Bieke Casteleyn uses stucco lustro, meticulously polished after application, giving them a natural, marble-like appearance. Each table's exclusivity and meticulous finishing process determine its price.
